Tryout Registration

This registration session will allow you to complete contact information, sign up, and submit payment.

Please read through each page carefully to ensure that all information is provided accurately.

Organization 

  • Devils Baseball Club is a Not for Profit Organization
  • The Devils Board is focused on continuing to improve the travel baseball experience, monitors all age levels and works very closely with our Pro Trainers and Managers to ensure objectivity and development of all Devils players and teams.
  • Professional instruction is designed to provide individual skill development and a focus on fundamentals.  
  • The program is committed to the Hinsdale, Clarendon Hills, Oak Brook, Westmont and Burr Ridge communities and will support 8U-12U players to play Little League.
  • Devils Baseball Club will work closely with Hinsdale Central HS coaches, as the primary feeder program in the area.

 

2026 Level Selection

  • Shortly following the tryouts, we will be sending invites to players for the 2026 season.  These invites will be for acceptance to the Devils organization and age level only.  Team selection will happen at a later date (please see below).
  • Offers will be extended after the initial tryout date and before the makeup date consistent with other organizations in the area. Only a number of spots per age level will be held open for the makeup tryout. 


Ages

  • 8U-13U
  • During the first three (3) weeks of winter training, we will be conducting a “Training Camp” at each level and will further evaluate the players at this time.  Selection of teams for all levels will take place at the end of “Training Camp”. 
  • This will occur in January 2025.
  • Pro Trainers will be involved in final team selections, which will also include input from the Team Managers and Board.

Winter Level/Team Training

  • The Devils baseball program will offer winter training to all players. 
  • Training will be created to:  1) implement and reinforce baseline fundamentals; 2) increase individual skill development and position versatility; and, 3) improve overall baseball IQ.
  • 8U-13U (January to March): Winter Training sessions will consist of two session/week focused on fielding fundamentals, base-running, hitting and pitching. 
  • Training will be led by the JJ Furmaniak, Kevin Rios, Chris Frankiewicz, and other current Devils trainers.
  • Training sessions by level will be led by two Pro Instructors at all practices.  Curriculum will be designed to offer tailored, age specific, professional instruction while incorporating coach involvement. 


Where

Where are practices and games typically held?

Example: Practices and home games are held at the RecPlex. Games may be played across the metro region.

Private Lessons

  • All players will receive ten (10) vouchers for private lessons included in their fee.   These vouchers can be used to choose from a menu of hitting, pitching, fielding, or catching instructors.  They are to be scheduled and used anytime from December to late May.   
  • All players will be able to use the lesson portal to book lessons.


Games

How many games will they play? What days of the week?

Example: Teams will play 20-30 games over the course of the season and will usually fall on the weekends.

Coaches

  • Coaches training and instruction will be provided.   The board will go through an evaluation process at each level to select Managers for 2025. Managers are to have a strong baseball IQ and an appropriate temperament for the age level. 
  • If no coach is willing or deemed qualified to manage and 8U-13U team, a pro coach may be hired at an add’l cost of approximately $500/player.


Fees

  • Details on annual fees per level will be provided when invites are sent out following tryouts.
  • For 8U-13U, fee includes ten (10) 30-minute private lessons, winter training, facility usage, uniforms, helmet, bat bag, respective tournaments and league season.
  • Payment of 50% will be required within one (1) week of acceptance. The additional 50% will be paid by December 31st.   Late payment may result in the loss of your slot. All payments are nonrefundable without exception.
